Professional and Educational Background
Crystal joined Ross Hughes & Associates, CPAs, PLLC when Brent Ross & Associates, CPAs, LLC, merged with Hughes and Warner, CPAs PA. where she is continuing her career. She manages the firm's accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as for several of the firm's clients. She provides assistance in the tax and bookkeeping areas and helps coordinate and assist with the firm's marketing programs. She is also responsible for compiling and editing articles for the company's newsletter and various other marketing materials.
Prior to working with Ross Hughes, Crystal worked with Meeks, Ross, Selander & Associates, CPAs, LLC as an executive assistant and bookkeeper. She had a multitude of responsibilities.
Crystal earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Management from the University of North Florida. While attending the university, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant with Ferrie's Decorative Concrete, Inc., where she became experienced with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, customer relations and a wide range of other office responsibilities. The real world experience with Ferrie's helps her identify opportunities for assisting clients with their financial reporting and record keeping requirements. Crystal has a keen ability to break processes down into identifiable steps and document them so they can be repeated by others with minimum training and experience. Crystal has had experience and knowledge with a majority of the administrative functions within the office and the patience and ability to cross train others.
Before attending the University of North Florida, Crystal earned her Associate of Arts Degree in General Business from Lake Sumter Community College. During this time, she was employed in both the retail and restaurant industry and found time to volunteer at the Lake County Courthouse, in the Human Resources and transportation departments, creating spreadsheets and new databases. Crystal later interned at the Community Services Annex of Lake County where she converted files, updated their HAPPY program and conducted surveys.
